FAQS

why should i consider participating in Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is an investment in yourself. It's a commitment to your health and well being. Through a safe & trusting therapeutic relationship you are able to gain insight and awareness into your life, successfully make desired changes in your actions, and begin to understand the often painful parts of your life that are holding you back from living your life authentically.  Through the therapeutic process of psychotherapy I have witnessed individuals build greater self-esteem & self worth, build healthy relationships, and greatly improve their emotional health & wellbeing.

how is Psychotherapy different from Self-Help books?

Self-help books and articles are wonderful sources of information, inspiration, and a all around a great resource. (I'm always happy to share a few of my favorites!) However, implementing desired changes oftentimes means having to know yourself well enough to make the changes last by understanding what may be getting in your way. As a licensed psychotherapist, I have received specialized training to help you do just that. No one is meant to go through life in isolation or face difficult problems on their own. Therapists are professionals trained to treat symptoms associated with Mental Health Diagnosis such as Anxiety & Depression, as well as support individuals on their journey to emotional wellness.
